First installation in the world that will provide
heat, electricity and cooling from the sun!
Absolicon X10 has been installed at the local hospital in Harnosand in a unique installation to provide heat, electricity and cooling from the sun. It is the first installation in the world that is using combined photovoltaic thermal solar collector to produce solar cooling.
The hospital has an ambitious program to reduce the energy consumption, and the solar cooling will be used to cool the x-ray department during summer. The heat is used for preheating the hot tap water in the seven floor building and the electricity is fed into the 230 V grid.
