Quality certified deliveries of concentrating solar collectors
Absolicon is now shipping quality certified concentrating solar collectors worldwide that does not need local assembly. Manufacturers of solar concentrators has for a long time argued that local assembly is a cost efficient way to do installations. However, Absolicon experience show that local assembly often is both costly and have low quality. Instead solar concentrators should be assembled and verified in the factory and then shipped to the installation site. Already in 2009, Absolicon started to develop a system to ship quality certified, factory made solar concentrators in containers. The system reduces the demands of training local work force and allow for final inspection and quality assessment in the factory. As Absolicon is ISO9000 certified, the manufacturing process is monitored in each step. Today, container shipping of the finished 10 m X10 is the preferred way to deliver our solar concentrators. The cost is slightly higher, but the system increases the quality control and reduces the risk of mistakes in the field. With the new shipping method, 100 sqr meter is loaded in a 40' container.
