Solar power drives chemical process
Absolicon’s first installation for the industrial sector is up and ready. The customer is Bomans Lackering, headquartered in Stockholm.
The installation is located on the roof. Solar collectors from Absolicon generate hot water for a chemical bath in which radio cabinets for the Swedish telecom industry are gilded, a so-called “electroplating bath”.
“Increased energy costs will make more and more industries consider using solar power to run their processes,” predicts Johan Sandberg, Absolicon.
The customer became aware of the state solar energy subsidies, and the installation was unveiled in the summer of 2011.
