[ingress]Absolicon has been named one of Sweden’s smartest energy innovators and finalist in this year’s edition of E-prize – Sweden’s leading energy prize in business. E-Prize rewards Swedish companies with the most innovative solutions for the future of climate-friendly energy supply and sustainable transport. Absolicon is a finalist in the category “renewable energy”.[/ingress]

Absolicon is nominated for its patented and certified technology to create heat for industrial processes and district heating with the sun’s radiation. Absolicons concentrating solar collector T160 has the world’s highest measured optical efficiency for a small parabolic trough and was the first of its kind to be certified with Solar Keymark. The solar collector follows the sun during the day and converts the sunlight into 160-degree pressurized hot water or steam.

Eon, who co-founded the award twelve years ago, now continues together with Dagens Industri and Aktuell Hållbarhet, and awards this year’s E-Prize, an energy prize for business, to award and highlight the most innovative companies that strive for an energy-efficient business. With the award, they want to focus on and stimulate innovations that can help us meet our climate goals.

The winners of the E-prize will be announced in November.
