Let us introduce ourselves

The Group in its current business model was structured in 2013 and was introduced on the Swedish stock exchange in 2016.

Absolicon has a unique technology, based on 20 years of research, for extracting energy in different forms using concentrated solar thermal collectors.

But the roots of the company go far beyond the parabolic trough with the highest measured efficiency on the market.

Our vision is to be a leading part of the transition to renewable energy and sustainable industry, but hold on, let´s start from the very beginning.

Absolicon Solar Collector AB – Why?

Absolicon Solar Collector: Our roots

Nowadays Absolicon has several projects in three different continents with respective local partners.

But our story, like sometimes happens, starts years before with a child, a small town, and a big dream.

At the age of only eleven years old, Absolicon´s CEO Joakim Byström drew his very first Solar Collector.

Who would have ever imagined that draft would have been the beginning of such a long journey?

Our T160 Solar collector is developed from a long history of research and testing did not only by Absolicon and its key personnel but also by strong cooperation with universities and research institutes.

As a result of that path on November 18th, Absolicon and its T160 Solar collector won the most prestigious climate award for a Swedish company, the E-prize for “Renewable Energy”.

“Remember that “Energy” is 20% electricity, 30% transport, and 50% heat. Heat is Half and burning fuel to get heat is 40% of the total CO2 emissions in the energy sector. Change to solar heat and seasonal storage!”  Joakim Byström – Absolicon CEO

How can we make a difference?

It´s important to realize that the world’s energy usage is rapidly rising, and the Energy Needs must be met with Renewable Energy.

With this in mind and to optimize the logistics economy of the solar collectors, we developed a Production Line that enables rapid upscaling from pilot installations to mass production of T160 concentred Solar collectors, which can change the energy supply for a region.

In the first place at Absolicon we strongly believe that great things can be made from a small place and that we can make a change.

Equally important we are committed to transforming the world’s Energy Supply.

Nonetheless, we Respect the fact that we can not do this alone.

Together we can do it!
